That is God's business. I guess wrong choice of words. Would it be a sin if someone was evangelizing another away from the True Church? And I guess those that were led away from the True Church it could be said that they did not know their Faith to begin with. To answer your ...Thanks for your comments, johnny.

To answer your question "How much does Truth matter in salvation" I would say: It matters immensely.

And the answer to Protestants as to why they needto belong to the Catholic Church is: because it is True. The Amateur Apologisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06042589564126217004noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8319525241110721507.post-68081050863483477012013-08-20T15:04:43.499-05:002013-08-20T15:04:43.499-05:00Excellent post and on a subject that is dear to me...Excellent post and on a subject that is dear to me. The Truth of the Catholic Faith. I am a life long Catholic but did not know and/or practice my faith for a good portion of that life. But the Holy Spirit led me to seek Truth and low and behold I found it in my own Faith. But it has also led me to a question that has been floating around my head for quite sometime. How much does Truth matter in salvation? The CCC teaches that those outside the Church can be saved. Understood. Now when I do read that section to protestants it invariably leads to the question....'then why do I need to belong to the Catholic Church?' I have been able to answer that (I think) but it has led me to my own question which is this. Say you have a protestant that would meet the jist of paragraph 838. But that particular protestant feels it is her/his mission to lead people AWAY from what we know to be the One True Church, the Catholic Church? What can we say about their salvation and what about the people who now deny the Catholic Faith because of false evangelizing? Thank you.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
