About Me

My photo
The Amateur Apologist
Have you ever been at a party or family gathering and had people say something dismissive about your Catholic faith? Perhaps it caused you to think, 'Hmmm... why do Catholics do that?" or "I've never heard that Catholics believe this!" or "I know he's wrong--that's not what the Church teaches--but I can't really say exactly where he's wrong..." I am interested in posting a quick Catholic "apologetics" blog (apologetics meaning: defense of our Catholic faith) My intention here is only to increase our knowledge of what we, as Catholics, do and why we do it. I will reference the Bible, the Catechism and other reputable Catholic resources with each topic.
